I bought these because I was told they actually keep a drink cold longer and without as much melting. I'll be honest with you, they make weird ball shaped ice. But unless you watch Sheila Norwood's YouTube video on how to actually get them right, you're going to end up with a strange ball-like ice ball. They're made of silicone which I really like. We tried to make ice balls twelve times and we even tried taping them with electrical tape and duct tape to keep them together but it didn't work. If you do it the way Sheila Norwood show how to make them, you're going to need the ice ball molds, solo cups, a cooler that will fit in your freezer and you're going to waste about 10 gallons of water for three ice ball. The design of the mold is great, don't get me wrong. Just need to figure out how to keep them from splitting open during the freezing process. They're a cool concept and gadget. I have noticed that they also offer a smaller mold that has about 6 molds for ice balls and those seem to work great. Go ahead and get you a set, it was actually kind of fun trying to get them to freeze right LOL.
